These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of plainreads.com and any books you purchase from PlainReads (“we”, “us”). By using the site or buying a book, you agree to these Terms.
We sell digital books (ebooks) in formats such as PDF and EPUB. When you buy a book, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and read it for your own use.

Prices are shown on each book’s page and are charged in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize the charge and confirm that your payment details are accurate.
We offer a 14-day, no-friction refund guarantee. If a book didn’t save you time or wasn’t what you expected, email us within 14 days of purchase at contact@plainreads.com and we’ll refund you in full.
You can buy with just an email address. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since we use it to sign you in. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
All content on the site and within the books — text, design, and branding — is owned by PlainReads or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Your purchase grants a license to read, not ownership of the underlying content.
Our books are for general education and information. They are not a substitute for professional advice — financial, medical, legal, or otherwise. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions that warrant it. You are responsible for how you use the information.
The site and books are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee the site will always be available or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlainReads will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or books. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant book.
We may update the site, our books, or these Terms over time. If we make material changes to the Terms, we’ll update the date above. Your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
